80th Independence Day Celebrations & Student Felicitations
A Grand Patriotic Celebration at Chaithanya Service Society
Madanapalle, August 15: The 80th Indian Independence Day was celebrated with great fervor and patriotism at Chaithanya Voluntary Service Organization. The occasion was graced by chief guests Dr. Radhika (RMO, Madanapalle Government Hospital), Mrs. Subhadra (President, Gramajyothi Society), Mr. M.P. Anandam (Founder President), Mr. A. Krishna Charan (Executive Director), Mrs. A. Kavitha Rani (General Secretary), and Mr. M. Ramakrishna (Retired Teacher).
The national flag was hoisted jointly by Founder President M.P. Anandam and Gramajyothi Society President Mrs. Subhadra, marking the start of patriotic cultural performances including songs and dances by the children.
Honoring Academic Excellence
During the event, student Malliswari was specially felicitated for securing the first rank in Annamayya district in the Intermediate examinations. Guests praised the resilience of her mother, Rani, a single woman who runs a small tiffin center to support her daughter's education, stating that Malliswari's success serves as an inspiration to all.
Additionally, student Vaishnavi was honored for her previous state-level achievements in Intermediate and receiving the Pragathi Award. Her current participation in national-level quiz competitions was highly applauded by society members.
General Secretary Mrs. A. Kavitha Rani presented a cash incentive of ₹5,116 to district top-ranker Malliswari, along with mementos awarded to both Malliswari and Vaishnavi on behalf of the organization.
Community Support & Healthcare Commitments
Chief Guest Dr. Radhika commended Chaithanya Service Society's noble work in uplifting destitute children and senior citizens. Impressed by the daily programs ensuring children's health and development, she committed ongoing medical support from her side and personally donated ₹5,000 to Malliswari.
Mrs. Subhadra praised the organization's consistency in celebrating national events and acknowledged the children's recent success in winning 5th prize at the pre-Independence Day cultural competitions.
Founder President M.P. Anandam felicitated Dr. Radhika and Mrs. Subhadra with shawls and mementos. To mark the birthday of Mr. Shashidhar Rao (Owner, Sri Krishna Theatres, Madanapalle), a nutritious community meal drive (Annadanam) was organized for all children and residents of Ananda Old Age Home.
The senior citizens at Ananda Old Age Home also celebrated the occasion by hoisting the national flag, paying tribute to freedom fighters, and raising slogans of "Bharat Mata Ki Jai." General Secretary A. Kavitha Rani distributed sweets to the elders, closing a memorable day dedicated to patriotism, academic achievements, and social service.

Legacy of M.P. Anandam
A grand celebration was recently held to honor the birthday of our visionary Founder President, M.P. Anandam. Since establishing the organization in 2002, he has lived by the powerful motto: “If thought emerges, let it shine through action.”
General Secretary A. Kavitha Rani reflected on a journey that began in 2009 with just 5 children. Today, that journey has empowered over 460 children to lead independent lives through self-effort. From conducting marriages for ten girls to providing stress-free education via Muthu English Medium School, his impact is immeasurable.
During the event, uniforms and school bags were distributed to the children, followed by a cake-cutting ceremony shared with the elderly from Ananda Old Age Home, proving that Chaithanya is a home for all generations.
A Courtesy Visit to DSP Ms. Pavani
In a move to strengthen community relations, General Secretary A. Kavitha Rani and the staff visited Ms. Pavani, the newly appointed DSP of Madanapalle. We extended our warmest congratulations as she takes charge of this historically significant division.
The organization presented a flowering plant and a memento, symbolizing our commitment to environmental and social growth. We briefed her on our decades of service, specifically our work in providing shelter to destitute children and rehabilitation for child laborers. Having a woman police officer lead this division is an inspiration for our organization's mission.

Nurturing Every Child
Today, we provide a livelihood to 100 children and 10 elderly persons. Our teaching and non-teaching staff at Muthu English Medium School work tirelessly to ensure that every child who walks through our doors is prepared for a life of dignity and success.
